The past 30 days

OK, we have not been very good to update recently. Sorry. It has been a somewhat crazy month. Lee has been in S Asia for a week, Central America and Oklahoma all in the last 5 weeks; so blogging has been a few rungs down on the priority ladder. Come to think of it, so has laundry, house cleaning and everthing but basic survival. But - don't think that it hasn't been an eventful 30 days.

In the last thirty days, David turns 3! Emie turns 6! and Andrew participated in the regional archery tournament in Stillwater.

Some photos -

First, David turns 3.

The birthday was celebrated with Nana & Poppa S here for the week! It was tractor themed all the day. Mr. David loves John Deere, tractors and anything with a hitch!!

Just 3 days later - we celebrate Emies 6th Birthday and her 2nd with us. Birthdays are always a
little bittersweet. We are so thankful for Emie and that she is part of our family - but we cannot help wonder what does Emies birth mom think about on this day?

Does she ever wonder where her daughter is? Also, when Emie was in the orphanage - March 5 was like any other day, no cake, no presents, no recognition.

We are happy to make a day for her that she will never forget. Emie also finally got a real bed - she has been sleeping on a mattress on the floor, but now has a real girl bed to call her own!

Emie loves her dolls - so her one of her presents was a doll that she could take care of. It has been named Lucy for now. Also, the first thing
Emie does with any doll is take those clothes off!!

We love to celebrate her birthday and I think the photo of her and her cake says it all.

Katie - wishing it was her birthday
Emie - enjoying the moment
Annie - wondering when is this circus going to end?? :) :) :o

More updates to come - thanks for hanging in there with us.
